Not every client wants to pay at the point of booking. Some prefer to pay in person, on the day, once they've had their appointment. Until now, Glamly only supported upfront payment flows. That changes today.
We've introduced a new payment timing option — clients can now choose whether to pay at the time of booking or settle up after their appointment. You decide which options to make available, and the booking flow handles the rest. No extra work on your end.
How it works
When Pay Later is enabled, clients see the option during checkout. If they choose to pay on the day, the appointment is confirmed in the usual way — they just settle up with you directly after the service. If they choose to pay now, the standard card flow runs as normal.
You can use this alongside deposits too. A client might pay a deposit upfront to secure their slot, then pay the remainder in person. It works with your existing payment setup — no changes needed.
Pass processing fees to clients
There's also a new option to pass Glamly's card processing fees through to clients who pay by card. This keeps more of your revenue in your pocket — the choice is entirely yours. Clients who pay cash or pay later aren't affected.
Glamly and Stripe fees apply
Processing fees are charged by Stripe and passed on through Glamly when card payments are taken. The fee pass-through option applies only to card payments — it has no effect on cash or pay-later bookings.
Where to find it
Go to Settings → Payments to turn on Pay Later and configure the fee pass-through option. Both settings are live now for all Glamly businesses.
As always, if you have any questions just reach out at hello@glamly.uk — we're happy to help.
