Every client who books with you has a journey to get there. Whether you work from a home studio, a rented room, or a mobile setup, there's almost always something useful you can tell them in advance — which entrance to use, where to park, what to bring, how to find you if Google Maps drops them on the wrong street.
Additional Appointment Information is a simple Glamly feature that lets you write that message once and send it automatically to every client who books with you. There's no chasing, no copy-pasting, no forgetting — it goes out with every confirmation.
Where clients see it
Your message appears in two places for every client:
Confirmation email
Shown under a clearly labelled “Important Information” heading in the booking confirmation email clients receive when they book.
Manage booking page
Displayed on the client's personal booking page — the link they use to view, reschedule or cancel — so they can always find it before they travel.
What to include
Your information note can be as short or as detailed as you need. The most common things beauty professionals use it for:
- Parking instructions — where to park, where not to park, nearby car parks, time limits
- Directions — which entrance to use, which road to approach from, landmarks
- Access codes or gate codes — for gated properties, intercom instructions, door codes
- What to arrive wearing — loose clothing for spray tans, no tight sleeves for nail appointments
- What not to apply beforehand — no moisturiser before waxing, no nail polish before a treatment
- Arrival timing — whether to wait outside, where to ring, if there's a waiting area
- What to bring — flip flops, a towel, a reference photo
How to set it up
It takes under a minute to switch on and write your message:
- Go to Settings → My Booking Link in your Glamly dashboard
- Scroll down to Additional Appointment Information
- Toggle it on
- Type your message in the text box that appears
- Save your settings
That's it. From that point on, every booking confirmation email and every manage booking page will include your message under “Important Information”.
Frequently asked questions
Every client — every time. The message appears on the confirmation email and manage booking page for all bookings, whether the client has booked before or not.
Yes. The manage booking page always shows the current version of your message, so if you update it, anyone who opens their booking link will see the latest text. Confirmation emails already sent won't change, but future ones will use the new wording.
No hard limit — but shorter messages tend to get read in full. A few clear sentences work better than a long paragraph. If you have a lot to cover, break it into short points.
No. It's shown after booking — on the confirmation email and the manage booking page. It's intended as arrival information, not pre-booking information.
Yes. Toggle it off in Settings → My Booking Link and your saved message is kept. Toggle it back on at any time and the same message comes back — nothing is deleted.
Yes. When you create a booking manually and send the client their confirmation, the appointment information is included in the same way as any online booking.
