Email & SMS Campaigns — Reach Your Clients Directly and Fill Your Calendar

Glamly email and SMS campaigns — send targeted messages to your client list

Your existing clients are your most valuable asset. They already trust you, they know your work, and they're far more likely to book again than a cold stranger seeing your social media for the first time. Campaigns let you reach them directly — no algorithm, no feed, no hoping they happen to see your post.

With Glamly Campaigns you can send a message to your entire client list, or a targeted segment of it, by email or SMS. One-off, manual, on your schedule. Whether it's a seasonal promotion, a new service announcement, or a nudge to fill a quiet week — campaigns put the message in front of the right people at the right time.

Campaigns are one-off messages you send manually. They are different from automations, which fire automatically — like appointment reminders or aftercare follow-ups. Both live in the Marketing section of your dashboard.

Email or SMS — which should you use?

Both channels reach your clients directly, but they have different strengths. The right choice depends on what you're saying and how urgently you need a response.

SMS

Short, urgent, and personal

SMS has an open rate north of 95% — most people read a text within three minutes of receiving it. That makes it unbeatable for time-sensitive messages.

  • Last-minute slot fills and cancellations
  • Flash promotions with a tight deadline
  • Anything where speed of response matters
  • Clients who aren't big email checkers

SMS credits explained

The Glamly marketing subscription (£10/month on top of your base plan) includes 100 free SMS credits per month. Each credit sends one SMS to one client. If you need to send more, you can top up at any time:

📦

50 credits — £5

Good for a small targeted nudge to a specific segment of your list.

📦

150 credits — £12

A solid mid-size send — enough for most lists with a bit left over.

📦

250 credits — £18

For a full list send or a campaign you want to run a couple of times.

🏷️

500 credits — £35 (best value)

Stock up and save. Best for stylists with a large, active client list.

Credits don't expire. Top up once and use them across multiple campaigns whenever you need them. Email campaigns cost nothing extra regardless of how many clients you send to.

How to create a campaign

Campaigns are in the Marketing section of your Glamly dashboard. Here's how to build and send one:

  1. Open Marketing → Campaigns and tap New campaign.
  2. Choose your channel — Email or SMS. This determines the editor and template options you see next.
  3. For email: pick a branded template, add your subject line, and write your message in the visual editor. You can add images, a heading, body copy, and a call-to-action button linking to your booking page. For SMS: write your message in the plain-text box — keep it under 160 characters for a single-credit send.
  4. Choose your audience — all clients, or a filtered segment based on last visit, service booked, or total spend. More on targeting below.
  5. Review the send summary — total recipients, estimated credit usage for SMS, and a preview of what your message looks like. Make any final edits here.
  6. Tap Send campaign. Your message is dispatched immediately and results start appearing in your campaign report within minutes.

Targeting — who receives your campaign

Blasting your entire client list every time is rarely the best approach. Glamly lets you narrow your audience so the right message goes to the right people.

Audience filters

Send to all, or narrow it down

  • All clients — your full list of opted-in clients. Good for major announcements and seasonal promotions.
  • Last visit — filter by how recently they booked. Useful for re-engagement: "haven't seen you in 8 weeks — we're missing you."
  • Service booked — target clients who've had a specific treatment. Perfect for upselling a related new service or add-on.
  • Total spend — reach your highest-value clients for a loyalty reward or VIP early access.

Targeted campaigns almost always outperform blanket sends. A message that feels relevant to the recipient gets opened, clicked, and acted on. A generic broadcast gets ignored — or worse, unsubscribed from.

Consent and opt-outs

Only clients who have not opted out of marketing communications receive your campaigns. Glamly handles this automatically — you never have to worry about sending to someone who has asked not to be contacted. Opt-outs are honoured immediately and apply across both email and SMS.

When a client books through your Glamly page, they are given the option to receive marketing messages from you. Clients can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email campaign, or by replying STOP to an SMS.

You don't need to manage a separate opt-out list. Glamly keeps it clean for you — your campaign audience is always the people who are happy to hear from you.

Best practices

The difference between a campaign that books out your week and one that gets ignored usually comes down to a few simple things:

Send at the right time

For email, 10am–12pm on weekdays consistently outperforms evenings and weekends. For SMS, avoid early mornings and late evenings.

✍️

Subject lines win or lose email

Be specific and personal. "Your summer lash refresh awaits" outperforms "Check out our latest offers" every time.

📏

Keep SMS short and direct

State the offer, include your booking link, and nothing else. People don't read long texts — they skim for the useful bit.

📅

Pace yourself

Once or twice a month is a healthy rhythm for most lists. More than that and unsubscribes creep up.

Tracking results — opens, clicks, and attribution

Every email campaign comes with a built-in report showing open rate, click rate, and which links were clicked. You can see at a glance whether your subject line landed and whether people followed through to your booking page.

Attribution works on a 7-day window. Any booking made by a client within 7 days of receiving your campaign is counted as attributed to that campaign. This gives you a clear picture of how much revenue each campaign actually drove — not just how many people opened it.

SMS campaigns show delivery status per recipient. Attribution works the same way — any booking from a recipient within 7 days is credited to the campaign.

Campaigns vs automations

Know when to use which

Campaigns and automations both live under Marketing, but they serve different purposes. Campaigns are things you create and send yourself — a one-off promotional message, a seasonal announcement, a re-engagement push. Automations fire on their own in response to events: a booking confirmation goes out when someone books, a rebooking nudge goes out 6 weeks after their last appointment. Use campaigns for intentional outreach and automations to keep the relationship warm in the background without manual effort.

Campaigns are available with the Glamly marketing subscription (£10/month). You get unlimited email sends, 100 SMS credits per month included, full tracking and reporting, audience targeting, and branded email templates — all in one place alongside your automations, booking page, and client list.
