If you work from home, you probably don't want your full address on a public web page. With Glamly you can show only your town or postcode on your booking page, and your full address goes out automatically once someone has actually booked.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings in your Glamly dashboard
- Tap My Booking Link
- Find Business Location and make sure it's switched on
- Turn Street address off
- Choose whether to show City / Town and Postcode
- Changes save automatically, so there's no Save button to press
Make sure your full address is filled in under Settings → Business Details. Hiding it on your booking page doesn't delete it. Glamly still needs it to send to booked clients.
What clients see
Your booking page
Only the parts you've left on, for example “Accrington, BB5”. The map shows the general area, there's no Directions button, and your street isn't anywhere in the page, even behind the scenes.
Everything they need to find you
Your full address appears in their booking confirmation (email and WhatsApp), their reminder before the appointment, the calendar invite, and their manage-booking page.
Tips
Want even more privacy? Hide the postcode too
A full postcode can narrow you down to a handful of houses. Showing just your town is enough for clients to know whether you're near them.
Add parking and arrival details
Things like “park on the drive, use the side door” can go in your appointment information, which is included in booking confirmations, so clients arrive at the right door.
Frequently asked questions
Does the reminder the day before include my address?
Yes. Reminders by email and WhatsApp include your full address, even though it's hidden on your booking page.
What if I turn Business Location off completely?
Then no address appears on your booking page at all, not even your town. Booked clients still get your full address in their confirmation and reminder. This suits you if you'd rather not show any location publicly.
I've added an exact Google Maps link. Will that give my address away?
No. When your street address is hidden, the Google Maps link isn't shown on your booking page either.
I'm mobile. Does this matter for me?
For mobile appointments clients give you their address when they book, so your own address isn't sent. If you're hybrid, clients booking a studio appointment get your studio address as above. More on running a home-based business in our working from home guide.
